How does the subscription work?

Our candle subscription is built around quarterly chapters inspired by the seasons, nature, and meaningful experiences. At the start of each quarter, you’ll receive a delivery of three hand-poured candles — one for each month ahead — carefully curated to complement the time of year.

When will I get my subscription delivery?

Subscription boxes are sent to arrive around one week before the start of the next Chapter. All deliveries are sent via Royal Mail.

If you subscribe partway through a Chapter, your first box will be shipped under our standard delivery terms so you can start enjoying your candles right away.

How long will my order take to reach me?

For all non-subscription purchases, our standard UK delivery typically arrives within 3–5 working days from dispatch.

What fragrances should I expect?

Each Chapter features a new fragrance collection inspired by the changing seasons — think fresh botanicals in spring, sun-kissed blends for summer, grounding woods for autumn, and warm, comforting aromas in winter. Every scent is thoughtfully designed to capture the atmosphere and emotion of that time of year.

What are your candles made from?

All of our candles are made from eco-friendly soy wax — a clean, renewable alternative to paraffin. Just as synthetic additives in food can be harmful, toxins released from paraffin wax and metallic wicks aren’t great for you or your home environment.

What type of wick do you use?

We use 100% cotton wicks, free from lead and metal.

Do your candles contain paraffin?

No — our candles are completely paraffin and sulphate free.

Are your candles tested on animals?

Absolutely not. Our candles are cruelty-free and contain no animal products.

I’ve made a mistake on my order — can I amend it?

There is a chance that we may catch your order before it's shipped so please pop us an email as soon as you notice the mistake and we shall see what we can do at hello@theemberhour.com.

There’s a problem with my order — what should I do?

We do our best to make every order perfect, but if something isn’t quite right, please contact us straight away. Email us at hello@theemberhour.com and we’ll do everything we can to put it right.

The item I want is out of stock — will it be restocked?

We regularly restock our candles as each one is hand-poured onsite.

If an item is currently unavailable but due to return, you’ll find a “Notify Me” option on the product page — simply enter your email, and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s back in stock.

Do you deliver internationally?

At the moment, we only deliver within the UK, but we hope to expand our delivery options in the future.
